The area of PrissÈ stretches along the "petite grosne", hugging the viticultural slopes of the Vergisson mountain. In the past, the wealthy inhabitants from M’con loved to stay there : that is why rich mansions flanked by large viticultural outbuildings are frequent. Around the church, streets are bordered with old houses. One of these has a double "galerie" - stairs leading to a balcony on the side-furnished with stone columns as it is typical of the local architecture.

There are also several castles, such as the "manoir de la Cerve" - fifteenth century. It is a feudal manor flanked by 5 towers in which the poet Beauderon de SenecÈ is said to have written "les harangues" which made him famous. Another example is the "ch’teau de Montceau" where the poet Alphonse de Lamartine used to stay.

The cooperative cellar was founded in 1928. It stands on the northern extremity of the village. PrissÈ corresponds to the biggest area granted with the Saint-VÈran appellation. There are about 1500 inhabitants and some 16500 hectoliters of Saint-VÈran are produced from a surface of 250 hectares including numerous hillsides with limestone soils that are very diversified and often marly.
