Located in the south of Burgundy,
in the heart of the Mâconnais, the cru Saint véran
enjoys |
 |
|
 |
an exceptional geographical
situation since it is bordered by three famous gastronomical regions
: Burgundy, Beaujolais and Bresse.
The Saône valley, which is one of the busiest axes of
communication in Europe – motorway, fast-speed train : TGV –,
is not far and makes the appellation Saint Véran closer to
French and European big cities.
Encircling the villages of Chaintré, Fuissé,
Solutré-Pouilly and Vergisson, the appellation
spreads over two distinct zones : the villages of Davayé
and Prissé to the north -325 hectares- and the villages
of Chânes, Chasselas, Leynes and Saint
Vérand to the south - 175 hectares. |
