These particular conditions gave rise to wines whose essential characteristics are :
- a powerful nose with fruity and floral aromas of pear, citrus fruit, quince, candied fruit, ripe fruit and white flowers, which will mature into mineral and honey aromas.
- a soft palate, ample and well structured, because of the richness of the original must. These wines can be kept for 2 to 3 years, then mineral, honey and hazelnut flavours will develop.
To conclude,the 2000 vintage can be drunk now or over the next few years.
